Qld: Seeney calls for Libs to resolve leadership
Queensland Opposition Leader JEFF SEENEY says he wants questions over the Liberal leadership
to be resolved as soon as possible.
Liberal leader BRUCE FLEGG has rescheduled a meeting with rogue MP TIM NICHOLLS to
resolve leadership tensions.
Mr NICHOLLS stated last week he was considering challenging Dr FLEGG for the top job
.. but he didn't have the backing.
The Clayfield MP was due to meet Dr FLEGG today .. but pulled out saying he wants a
full party room meeting to discuss his concerns about the current direction of the Liberals.
Party sources say some issues have been resolved .. and he's likely to meet with Dr
FLEGG tomorrow.
Mr SEENEY says the matter needs to be sorted out .. so the opposition can get on with
the business of focusing on the government.
