Chamber Report Ranks States' Tort Law Systems.

A U.S. Chamber of Commerce (Washington) report on the fairness of state tort systems has ranked West Virginia as the least favorable state for defendant firms facing liability lawsuits, and Delaware as the most favorable. Nebraska, Virginia, and Iowa received the next highest marks, but states with large petrochemical industries, including Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, ranked near the bottom.
